Application package and life-cycle application management
Sword Technologies’s application package service enables clients to lower their work-station management costs as well as make them simpler and more reliable.
Successfully-completed packages can be standard (MSI, EXE, VBS…) or virtual (App-V, ThinApp, XenApp…) and are delivered with installation scripts enabling deployment using standard market tools (System Center Configuration Manager, OCS Inventory, …)
A highly simplified package process helps limit interaction thus reducing costs. To achieve this, the process presented below draws upon easy-to-fill web forms as well as full and automatic following up of all stages within the package.
Any successfully-completed package is included in our follow-up and monitoring process with clients informed monthly of any minor, major or critical update to the application. Application package and/or deployment may be carried out based on pre-defined criteria determined after concerted consultation.
Our package service works along two lines.
Tailor-made Package
This package model enables us to meet the specific needs of clients looking for a technical solution for the deployment of some complex software on a given stock of IT equipment. Packages based on this model are customised and fine-tuned to meet our clients’ specific requirements.
Such customisation may cover many different aspects such as:
- licence integration
- advanced application configuration (data base connection, driver installation, …)
- configuration of the application environment (module activation, …)

Self-Service Package
Our Self-Service package offer is an effective solution for those of our clients seeking an appealing price for application packages, found in a catalogue placed at their disposal.
Typically, these packages are produced to the same rigorous standards as our “Tailor-Made” packages. Package applications conform to the most universal standards possible, created by us and which we apply in order to supply such packages in as universal a way as possible.
